"Born on a cold winter's night in 1983 during the season finale of 'Dallas'... Clad in diaper and cowboy hat, Lincoln embarked on a life of music with a harmonica in his mouth and a howling canine by his side. Soon after, while at Hampshire College in western Massachusetts, discoveries of jazz and improvisation were made. Having the great opportunity to learn and study with musicians such as Yusef Lateef, Adam Kolker, Marty Ehrlich, Mark Dresser, Michael Dessen, a life in music was forged, for better or worse. After earning a Bachelor's degree in Jazz Performance and Composition in 2005, Lincoln dabbled further in Boston, MA, playing in various groups and clubs, recording demos, and studying with guitar guru and Frank Zappa look-alike Jon Damian. Recent endeavors have lead to Portland, Maine, earning a Master's of Music degree in Jazz Performance from the University of Southern Maine in 2012. Lincoln is an active performer in the greater Portland jazz scene and can be heard at venues such as Blue, The Local Buzz, The Dogfish, Ginkgo Blue, Grace, Jones Landing, and others."
