Ben is an enthusiastic piano player/teacher who's knowledge of music theory and teaching method is
quite extensive. With a Bachelor's of Music Degree from USM, he brings a philosophical to the students he teaches which can be applied to any
aged student. All aspects of music will be covered as the student advances in skill; from the very
basics such as posture and hand posistion, to playing pieces strictly from sheet music compared to
playing by ear as well as thinking about theory from both an absolute and relative perspective.
Complete uderstanding is the key to student sucess and continued interest in piano playing as well
as conveying a love for music and jazz history. Classical repertoire is encouraged in conjunction
with any specific genre of music a student wishes to enjoy.
