Can I rent an instrument?
Yes you can. We generally have all the most common instruments in-stock and ready to rent. Feel free to reach out to get more information on what intruments we have and what the terms of the rental are.
What do I need to bring to my lessons?
You need to bring your instrument, and questions. You may also be wanting a lessons book, but you can purchase those here.
Do I need to already have a musical background?
Just the passion to learn, your teacher has the experience to take you wherever you wish on your musical journey.

Mary
Diverse musical interests include classical, jazz, funk, folk, and new age music. Her music career highlights include performing with Dizzy Gillespie and Jane Ira Bloom while attending Colby College. She attended the Hartt School of Music where she studied saxophone with Ken Radnofsky and Jackie McLean and flute with John Wion and Mary Ellen Jacobs. After graduation, she studied saxophone with Jerry Bergonzi and flute with Tom Nyfenger. She is working towards a masters at Longy School of Music. She has performed with the Colby College Jazz Band, the Hartt School of Music Jazz Band, the New England Conservatory Wind Ensemble, Cul de Sax, Sax Works, Choros, The Phil Rich Big Band, Heartland Theatre Project, Jazzotree, Jacqueline Gourdin and Friends, Natasha Ulyanovsky and Friends, The Victory Swing Band, The Metropolitan Flute Orchestra, The Tim Janis Ensemble, and now the Edith Jones Project. Mary has performed on a variety of recordings including Etain, Life Dance, Beach Glass, and Listen to the Children.
Blaine
ONLINE ONLYBlaine Morin graduated from the University of Maine in Orono with a Bachelor's of Music Education in May 2019. He has a strong background with the guitar, specifically classical and jazz guitar. The music education program at Umaine guarantees that all students can teach all the band and orchestra instruments to a degree that any prospective student can find success with their instrument. Along with guitar, Blaine is proficient in playing the trumpet, saxophone, and the piano. During Blaine's student teaching at Hampden Academy and Reeds Brook Middle School in Hampden, Maine, he had the pleasure of guiding and directing various non-traditional music groups, such as, ukulele for middle school and African drumming for high school. The Performance Arts Center at Hampden Academy hosts numerous events that Blaine operated sound and lights for ranging from musical concerts to public speaking competitions. Blaine is trained to teach people of all ages and he is eager to help you pursue your ambitions in music.
